Return & Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your order from Budget Gadgets. This page explains how returns and refunds work for our store. As an EU customer, you also have a statutory right of withdrawal (cooling‑off period), explained below.

Our goal is to keep things straightforward and fair – if there is a genuine issue with your order, we will work with you to resolve it quickly and reasonably.

1. EU 14‑Day Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, please contact us via our Contact page and include your order number and the items you wish to return. A simple statement that you are exercising your right of withdrawal is sufficient.

The 14‑day period starts on the day you (or a person you designate) receive the item, or the last item in case of a split shipment.

After you notify us within this period, you must send the item back to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day you informed us of your decision to withdraw.

2. Conditions for Returns

To be eligible for a return under this policy:

  • The item should be in the same condition that you received it, subject only to handling necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning (similar to what would be allowed in a physical shop).
  • Where reasonably possible, include all original accessories, manuals and packaging.
  • You must provide proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt).

If the item has been used beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning (for example, heavy wear, clear signs of misuse or visible damage), we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value of the goods, as permitted by EU law.

3. Items That Cannot Be Returned

In line with EU rules, the right of withdrawal does not apply to certain types of items, including in particular:

  • Digital content (e.g. downloads, activation codes) once download or access has started with your prior consent.
  • Custom‑made or clearly personalized items.
  • Items that are sealed for health or hygiene reasons and that were unsealed after delivery (only if this is clearly stated on the product page).

If an item falls into one of these categories, this will be mentioned clearly on the product page.

4. Return Shipping Costs

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • If you are returning an item because you changed your mind under the 14‑day right of withdrawal, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the item.
  • If you are returning an item because it is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described, we will cover or refund reasonable return shipping costs once the issue is confirmed.

5. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will inform you by email whether the refund is approved.

Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to post the refund to your account.

If you return the entire order under your right of withdrawal, we will refund the full product price and the original standard shipping cost you paid (if any). Upgrades such as express shipping are not refunded unless required by law.

If you return only part of your order, we will refund the price of the returned items and, where applicable, a proportional share of the original standard shipping cost.

6. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

Under EU law, if a product is faulty or does not match its description, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

If your item arrives non‑functional, broken, significantly damaged, or you receive the wrong product:

  • Contact us as soon as possible via our Contact page.
  • Attach clear photos or a short video showing the issue and the packaging.
  • We will provide a solution – repair, replacement or refund – depending on the nature of the defect and stock availability.

7. Cosmetic Imperfections

Because many items are shipped from overseas, packaging may occasionally arrive with minor wear, and products may have small cosmetic imperfections (for example, light surface marks or slight colour variations) that do not affect normal use.

When we are aware of such imperfections, we will mention them clearly on the product page. Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect normal use are generally not considered defects, unless the item is significantly different from how it was described.
